Hey there! This is pretty exciting! Now that we have a blog, I look forward to documenting what OWI is up to and my own experiences while traveling and working as an "Ordinary Woman". Since this is a new line of communication for me, I'm sure I'll make a few mistakes. Any advice appreciated! So with that said... I'm counting down the hrs till the OWI team leaves for Kenya. There are 14 of us and a few of our friends from Switzerland will be joining us there. In fact, lots of our friends from here will also be there at the same time as us, hopefully we will run in to them along the way. Our flight leaves tomorrow morning out of LAX and we will be in the air for a good 21 hrs, with 3 short stop overs. At this point in the planning stage, I think the biggest challenge now is to make sure that our luggage is not overweight. We're always struggling to stay under the alloted weight per person because there is so much we want to take and share with our friends and orphans in our program. So today I'll have to decide what goes and what has to wait for the next trip. Well I'm on my way to walk Cooper and then I'm having breakfast with my grandkids. Bye!
